The Cubs lead the National League out of the Central Division with a 53-36 record under their Manager Lou Piniella. They are coming off a 4-6 Road Trip, but hold the best ML Home record at 33-10. The Cubs are 10-0 this year when Right-hander Dempster (9-3, 3.24 ERA) takes the mound at Home. Other positive trends for the Cubs here include 30-18 versus losing teams, and 9-3 as Home Favorites in this Odds range.
The Reds enter this Division match-up under their Manager Dusty Baker at 43-47 on the season. They are coming off a four-game sweep at Home over the Nationals. Right-hander Harang (3-10, 4.47) has lost his last three starts versus the Cubs and was pushed back a few days to this one due to arm stiffness. Negative trends for the Reds this evening include 11-18 in Division Play, 3-10 on Tuesdays, and 17-28 on the Road.
