They are coming off two two low-scoring events versus the NFC. The Ravens have it going on Defense, and they are always suspect on Offense. The NFC Champion Bears out of the North Division under their fourth-year Head Coach Lovie Smith are 2-4 Straight Up and 1-5 Against The Spread this season. Their Defense does not compare with last season's, and they lost last week at Home to the Vikings despite scoring 31 points. Da Bears need to get it together quickly before they fall too far behind to make the Post Season again. Trends favoring the Bears include 7-1 ATS off a SU loss in Division Play, 8-1 ATS on the Road versus a rival off a SU win, 7-3 ATS in October, and 81-72 ATS as Dogs.
The Eagles enter this Conference match up out of the East Division, and they stand at 2-3 SU and ATS on the year. After their Bye Week they won 16-9 last week at the Jets as four point Favorites. The Eagles are looking to win two games in a row for the first time this season. Negative trends include 3-6 ATS as Home Favorites, 9-14 ATS as Favorites, and 1-4 ATS at Home in this Series.

The Knights of the Conference USA East Division under their fourth-year Head Coach George O'Leary enter this one at 3-3 Straight Up and Against The Spread this season. Their Defense went AWOL on them the past two events -- blowout Road losses at East Carolina and South Florida. But the Knights have been tough out of their new stadium, and beaucoup dollars have been invested into this program. Positive trends include 3-1 ATS as Home Favorites of a TouchDown or less, and 4-1 ATS off a SU and ATS loss in non-Conference Play.
The Golden Hurricane enters this Conference match up out of the West Division under their first-year Head Coach Todd Graham, and they stand at 4-2 SU and 2-4 ATS on the year. They've failed to cover their last four games in a row ATS, including all three Conference events. The Hurricane looks to stay on top in their Division with a win as Road Dogs today. Negative trends include 25-31 ATS in October, 0-3 ATS with less than a week of rest, and 14-18 ATS off a SU win in Conference Play.

Gold Key Play, Over 51.5 Total Points, Michigan at ILLINOIS (NCAA, 8 et) (Weather) (Loser)

The Top Twenty-five ranked Wolverines of the Big Ten Conference under their long-tenured Head Coach Lloyd Carr are 5-2 Straight Up and 3-3 Against The Spread this season. They've gotten their Offense going, and usually play well in this match up. Leading NCAA RB Hart will be a game time decision. Three out of the past four games involving these teams have gone Over the Total.
The Fighting Illini enter this Conference match up under their third-year Head Coach Ron Zook at 5-2 SU and 4-2 ATS on the year. The Huskies lead the Big East Conference under their long-tenured Head Coach Randy Edsall, standing at 5-1 Straight Up and 4-1 Against The Spread this season. They finally lost a contest SU last week, 17-16 in a non-Conference event at Virginia getting a Field Goal as Dogs. The Huskies have every reason to play hard tonight in a Double Revenge Game in inclement weather before the Home Faithful on National TV. Positive trends include 6-1 ATS at Home versus the Big East, 5-1 ATS as Home Dogs, 36-21 ATS on grass fields, and 30-21 ATS with less than a week of rest.
The Cardinals enter this Conference match up under their first-year Head Coach Steve Kragthorpe, and they are 4-3 SU and 2-4 ATS on the year. They upset Cincinnati on the Road in their last, 28-24 SU as eight point Dogs. The Cardinals have been difficult to gauge this season, losing SU as 37 point Home Favorites to Syracuse and 14.5 point Home Favorites to Utah. Negative trends include 1-4 ATS as Road Favorites of a Field Goal or greater off a SU Dog win, 3-6 ATS as Road Favorites when the Total is in this point range, and 1-4 ATS on grass fields.

The Utes of the Mountain West Conference under their third-year Head Coach Kyle Whittingham enter this contest at 4-3 Straight Up and 3-4 Against The Spread this season. Their Defense has performed well enough this year, and their Offense is starting to come around. The Utes will need to play strong on Defense in Conference Play if they are to make the Post Season. The Horned Frogs enter this Conference match up under their long-tenured Head Coach Gary Patterson at 4-3 SU and 2-4-1 ATS on the year. They too cannot afford another Conference loss with five games to go. The Frogs generally play well on Defense at Home, and this game can be lower scoring than expected on a hot Texas night.
